Havas Media Group UK has promoted Ailsa Buckley as its new chief client officer.

Buckley originally joined Havas UK in January 2019 as deputy managing director where she had been responsible for leading multi-disciplinary agency client teams for major firms such as Hyundai, O2 and Dreams.

Vastly experienced in the marketing and advertising sectors, prior to joining the French agency, Buckley previously held senior management roles at global agencies MEC and Maxus and following their merger, worked at successor agency Wavemaker as general manager, leading its L’Oreal business.

This new role will see Buckley responsible for “driving the client experience agenda”, overseeing Havas Media Group’s various client relationships across its Havas Media, Havas Entertainment and Havas Market operations.

As with her previous role, she will report to managing director, Stephanie Marks and will manage a team of seven client leads.

“Her expertise and ability to work collaboratively with clients to understand their challenges and how we as their agency partner can deliver against that is second to none.

“Our teams find her clarity and direction a breath of fresh air and we’re really excited to see how she will mentor and develop our client leaders further, whilst strengthening our client relationships across the Group.”

The newly promoted Buckley added: “I’m really excited to take on the position of chief client officer.

“I have a passion for ensuring our teams are delivering best-in-class service to our clients, so having the opportunity to drive this with a focus on development and leadership is something I can’t wait to get started on.
