Streetwear brand Hera Clothing, has signed emerging British rapper J Fado as its latest global ambassador.

The collaboration comes as part of Hera Clothing’s aim to foster and create “meaningful” relationships with creative talents who represent the diverse “cultural make-up” of the UK.

The Oxford-born artist joins as the brand’s first official ambassador and is set to work on various campaigns with Hera, as well as being involved with the design processes of upcoming collections, and being dressed exclusively by the label.

“Our mission as a brand is to support a range of ambassadors from diverse backgrounds, with different skills and creativity, empowering them to chase the things they want in life and explore what they’re passionate about,” said Hera chief brand officer Georgia Richardson.

“That’s why we’re delighted to have J Fado on board.”

Richardson added that Hera believes in J’s “energy, passion and attitude” for the music industry, saying that Hera is thankful to “support a young British emerging artist in the early stages of his career”.

“For us, it’s not just about collaborating with huge names in industries, instead, we want to find people who share our vision, and have drive and passion in their chosen fields – people we can grow with and build meaningful relationships.’’

Hera joins many other brands in utilising artists and social media influencers who amass large followings online to promote their products.

J Fado added: “As a lover of streetwear, I’m honoured to be the first official ambassador for Hera. I’m looking forward to going on this journey with Hera, working with the team on the collaborative projects, and introducing Hera to my audience.’’
